Our Commitment to the Community

Although providing the most effective and highest quality mission critical medical products is our primary focus, it is not our only objective. Caring for our customers doesn't end with their tour of duty. As an expression of gratitude for the selfless sacrifices of service members and their families, North American Rescue has partnered with various foundations to provide specific assistance to our customer population. To date, NAR has been honored to donate more than $17 Million to support wounded warriors and their families in times of need. Case in point is the 75th Ranger Medic Handbook Program, with all proceeds from the publication and sale of this practical medical reference guide going to directly benefit foundations supporting wounded warriors. Additionally, NAR actively supports and promotes advancements in quality medical research and education programs. Many NAR employees and family members have bravely served our country. This charitable-giving framework is our heartfelt way of serving those who have served us so well.

The United States Army Ranger Association

The US Army Ranger Association works closely with the 75th Ranger Regiment and the Ranger Training Brigade in order to give meaningful support to the active duty Rangers. USARA cooperates with the Ranger Veteran associations of the Ranger Battalions of WWII, Merrill's Marauders, the Ranger Infantry Companies (Airborne) of the Korean War, the LRRP, LRP, Rangers, and Ranger Advisors of the Vietnam War, and other recognized Special Operations associations. USARA conducts national and regional events, with the Annual Ranger Muster being the highlight of the year.

The USO of the Carolinas

Today, as predecessors have done since 1941 and colleagues do in over 145 centers around the world, the USO continues to serve and support both North and South Carolina's military – active, National Guard, reserve and retired – and their families. With 700 volunteers statewide and a small professional staff they serve over 222,000 patrons annually, nearly 25 percent of our nation's military and lead the way to enrich the lives of America's military in the Carolinas.

Operation Comfort

Operation Comfort coordinates donations (including money, goods and services) to provide comfortable and rehabilitative living room areas as well as family waiting rooms for service personnel being treated in the burn and orthopedic units at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas. Operation Comfort was started by Janis Roznowski, an American Airlines flight attendant who was part of a team transporting soldiers to and from the Middle East. "Having had the great experience of being in the presence of some of the bravest men and women I have ever met makes me realize that we can never do enough for them," Janis says. "I believe that our military men and women are truly our nation's National Treasure. Now that they are wounded, we must do what we can for them."

Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation

The Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation was formed on January 2, 1995 by former Marines and law enforcement personnel who strongly believe that our nation's most precious resource is its youth. Therefore, we encourage the spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of children through education. The Foundation has distributed aid with a value of more than $21,000,000 to eligible children. This assistance was rendered to children of Marines or Federal law enforcement personnel who were killed on duty or died under extraordinary circumstances while serving our country at home or abroad.

The United States Special Operations Command Care Coalition

“Our mission is to provide Special Operations Warriors and their families a model advocacy program in order to enhance their quality of life and strengthen Special Operations readiness.” The SOCOM Care Coalition has an excellent website listing multiple organizations to whom you may donate. The program is run by active duty personnel whose mission is to support the service members and their families.

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

The mission of the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in combat or training. They bridge the gap between existing sources of grants and scholarships and the total cost of college. Their vision is that every such child can have a debt-free college education.

Sentinels of Freedom

The mission of the Sentinels of Freedom is to provide life-changing opportunities for men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have suffered severe injuries and need the support of grateful communities to realize their dreams. They provide four year life scholarships to help vets become self- sufficient.

Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc.

HJF is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving military medicine and public health. Since 1983, they have helped military personnel conduct quality medical research and education programs by providing innovative services to meet the unique needs of military medicine, including research administration, program management and staffing, clinical trials, education support and event planning. Whether it's recruiting a research team committed to scientific discovery, arranging collaborations with private organizations and scientists or fostering continuing medical education, HJF stands ready and able to meet the needs of military medicine.
