The Blood Armor Duo, co-developed by North American Rescue® and MAXQ, is designed and validated for transporting refrigerated blood products for emergency pre-hospital transfusions. The container is capable of holding 2 units of Whole Blood or 3 units of Packed Red Blood Cells (PRBCs) - units are not included. The container is developed with packing configurations to allow the end user (military field medics, dismounted units, and civilian emergency medical services) the ability to design and support pre-hospital and on-the-go transfusion program without the traditional cooler limitations. The container is designed with a standard universal pack-out that is meant for most standard global operating conditions (Summer, Winter, Extreme Summer, and Controlled ambient). Additionally, configuration supports transport temperature stability in arctic conditions.
