High-energy laser light is known to cause damage to ocular tissues such as the cornea, lens, or retina if shined directly in the eye. When used improperly, lasers and laser pointers have a great potential risk for eye injury and vision loss. To mitigate this potential injury, Wiley X has developed a versatile, interchangable insert lens (much like prescription eye wear) that protects against laser interference and damage. The PTX Laser Lens Insert offers a broad spectrum of protection including: Ultra Violet, Blue, and the most common Green lasers.

The PTX Laser Lens Inserts are durable and compatible with several lines of the Wiley X ballistic eyewear (any that utilize the PTX connection system).

This combination kit includes both the PTX Laser Lens Insert and the WX Rogue COMM Ballistic Glasses. The WX Rogue COMMs include shatterproof Selenite™ Polycarbonate lenses that meet the MIL-PRF-32432 (GL) ballistic standards: ANSI Z87.1-2010 high velocity and high mass impact standards, as well as US Federal OSHA 1910.133(b)(1)(1) standards. Each frame set comes with both a clear lens option and a smoke grey option. The lenses feature T-Shell™ lens coating to resist scratching. The high quality lenses are distortion free and offer 100% UVA/UVB protection for maximized clarity.

The WX Rogue COMM frames feature thin temples that are compatible with hearing protection and minimize the risk of leakage when used in conjunction with gas masks.
