Body Armor Profile and Design

Body Armor Profile & Design

The design of a ballistic vest is crucial to ensure maximum protection while allowing the user to perform their duties. A ballistic vest designed for patient care requires a different approach than a standard law enforcement vest. When performing patient care, a provider is often bent over the patient and using both of their arms at center line or crossing center line.

In a standard vest, these movements can cause pinch points and interfere with patient care. The NAR Responder Ballistic PPE Vest was purpose-built from the ground up by and for fire and EMS personnel. The design and shape of the soft armor panels allow for this unique physical movement pattern of fire and EMS while still keeping you protected.

While the goal of any armor is protection, you must be able to perform your duties or it's simply the wrong gear.
